Associate Psychotherapist | She/Her/Hers
It can be difficult to make space for yourself when you are used to questioning your needs, putting pressure on yourself to keep going, or feeling guilty for prioritizing your own well-being. You may know that something needs to change while still feeling unsure of where to begin, what you need, or how to care for yourself without feeling like you are letting someone else down.
Hi, I’m Parri. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, confidence and self-esteem concerns, executive functioning difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, compulsive thoughts and behaviors, and the pressures that can come with life and its transitions. Together, we can create a space where you feel heard while building greater self-awareness and practical strategies that better support how you want to live and function. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning, and you do not have to navigate it alone.
*Parri is currently accepting new clients and clinically supervised by Aditi Rai, LMHC-D.
How I Understand the Work
I believe therapy should honor who you are rather than tell you who you should become. My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic perspectives, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This means our work can hold both deeper exploration and practical change, while staying grounded in compassion, collaboration, empowerment, and respect for your autonomy.
Your pace, goals, and unique needs will help guide our sessions. We may explore how past experiences, relationships, identity, values, and culture shape the way you understand yourself today, while also identifying patterns, thoughts, or behaviors that may be getting in your way. Together, we can build greater self-awareness and develop strategies that support meaningful growth in a way that still feels true to you.
What Therapy With Me Feels Like
My style is genuine, compassionate, collaborative, and empowering. Building a trusting relationship matters deeply to me, and I want therapy to be a space where you can show up just as you are without feeling like you need to have the right answers or present a certain version of yourself.
We can make room for what feels difficult while also recognizing your strengths, celebrating your progress, and finding practical ways to support you outside of our sessions. I especially want our work to help you become more comfortable caring for yourself, honoring your needs, and making space for your own well-being without guilt. My hope is that you leave therapy with a stronger understanding of yourself and greater confidence in your ability to navigate what comes next.

A little about me
-
Growing up, I often felt deeply affected by the challenges and hardships I saw others facing around the world. I cared so deeply, I found myself minimizing my own struggles because they felt small in comparison. Over time, I realized that caring for my own mental health was essential if I wanted to show up for others in meaningful ways. My own experience in therapy helped me understand the importance of support, resilience, and connection. This ultimately inspired me to become a therapist, so I, too, could make a difference in the lives of others.

My favorite part of being a therapist is the connections I form with my clients. I often find myself randomly thinking of a joke a client shared once, a story that left an impact, and many more moments, because connections aren't made only through similarities. That is one of the most beautiful things about humans, close in age or not, we can always find something to connect with.

Lately, my two cats have been bringing me a lot of joy and comfort. They are both ragdolls, named Blu and her younger sister Ray (Yes... like Blu-ray). Ray is my morning alarm, always at my door at 7 am sharp for morning snuggles, and Blu loves bird watching. They are just bundles of fluff that brighten every room they strut into.

Something that helps me feel most like myself outside of work is baking and music. I feel in my element when baking, focusing only on the ingredients, measurements, and steps, and the music in the background. I make homemade bagels (almost) every week, and I often make cookies, milk bread, salt bread, and cinnamon rolls. I have attempted sourdough, which was a big fail, but I will figure it out! Even with the messy kitchen and piled-up dishes, I always make time for baking because nothing makes me feel more centered than whipping up my favorite treats while listening to my favorite songs.
